Photographing kids while they sleep

By now you should know how much I love my family and photography! When I took this shot of my daughter few days ago I felt like nothing was more important than watching her peacefully sleeping with "Lammy", knowing she is safe and well loved. That was Daddy's thinking!

Then, I switched hat and the most genuine kids photographer in Westchester NY took over; I immediately pictured a grown up young lady going places, proving herself to the world with little time to hang out with Mommy & Dad.

It was a magic moment happening and I quickly grabbed my camera because I wanted that moment to last forever.

I must add an important detail: the morning I took this shot I was running late for work so my brain kept fighting with my heart insisting I had to leave fast and hurry to work. My hearth won as soon the photographer took over. The office was not important anymore and so I took my sweet time to treasure the moment and take the shot I can now enjoy for years to come.

I hope this blog will make you think about the opportunities you have to create memories. Grab your point and shot camera, your cell phone, a canvas and a brush, anything you feel confortable with so 20 years later you won't be regretting the time you had a chance to really enjoy your kid, even if it was only for few extra minutes...those are extra precious minutes.

I like to share something that makes a lot of sense to me:

"Watch the kids, they will teach you to love... and when you will learn to love the kid in you, then you will be a grown up!"

P.S. My office is still there and no catastrophes happened because I got in late!

I will never stop to thank you for taking such an amazing picture of our daughter. When she will be 18 I can show her how beautiful she was while she was sleeping with her favorite friend LAMMY. Thank you for your talent. Never stop doing what you really are good at: stop moments of today life and make them past ,present ,and future. Your intuition and your camera what ever you will be.
